Our deepest purpose as an organization is to celebrate life. Our vision is to help people rejoice and commemorate in the most special way, while working to accomplish transformative and sustainable environmental action.
Planting a tree is a symbol of hope, love and life that will last for generations.
In 2000, Trees for the Holy Land was established to help re-green the Holy Land. In 2021 when our founder, Catherine, passed away, her daughter, Rachel, decided to continue this legacy in her mother's honor. Since inception, we have been a female-owned and operated, family business. Our goal is to reach all people who are spiritually connected to the Holy Land, and who wish to honor family and friends with the living gift of a tree.
We believe passionately that when you plant a tree, you are giving the most precious gift to your loved ones; a living tree connecting them to the Holy Land. You are partnering with us to accomplish transformative environmental action.
We strongly believe that the planting of a tree connects us as humans and enriches our earth for our children. The presence of a tree dedicated to memory serves as nourishment for us and for our children.
Trees for the Holy Land is based in the United States. Your tree seedlings are planted in the land of Israel by the Jewish National Fund. Since 1901, JNF has planted over 250 million trees, created and built over 240 reservoirs and dams, developed over 250,000 acres of land, and established more than 2,000 parks. To our loyal customers -
My mom, who you know as Catherine, first had the idea for Trees for the Holy Land when I was a child. She had always sent flowers in memorial or celebration, but hated to watch flowers die. She heard of the practice of planting a tree in the Holy Land in honor of someone rather than sending flowers, it took such a hold within her heart. My mom was so dedicated to helping you honor your loved ones and
supporting people during their hardest moments.
I am honored to continue the mission that she started. I only hope I can be as creative, inspirational, and caring as she was.

North is at the top. The large central body of water is the Dead Sea, with Jerusalem visible to the left of its northern tip. The border with Jordan, the 1967 ceasefire line, runs along the Jordan River; the central line joining the inland bodies of water. To the west is the Gaza strip, bordering Egypt, and to the north is the border with Lebanon.
NOTE: THE "GREEN LINE", THE 1949 ARMISTICE BORDER, WAS SO NAMED BECAUSE GREEN INK WAS USED TO DRAW THE LINES ON THE MAP DURING THE ARMISTICE TALKS IN PROGRESS.
THAT MAP-DRAWN GREEN LINE IS NOW PHYSICALLY VISIBLE FROM SPACE BECAUSE OF EXTENSIVE TREE PLANTING. OVER 250 MILLION TREES HAVE BEEN PLANTED IN ISRAEL BY THE JEWISH NATIONAL FUND.
